Biwako Prize for Ecology
- 15th Biwako Prize for Ecology (Ecological Society of Japan)
To play an active role in environmental conservation
and to make a positive contribute in this field both in Japan and Asia,
Shiga Prefectural Government established the Biwako Prize for Ecology.
The prize has been awarded annually since 1991 to researchers who have
made academically and socially significant achievements in ecological
studies in fields related to aquatic environments and who are expected
to further develop and advance their research.
　The 15th is presented by the Ecological Society of Japan.
